José González Anniversary Album Packaging Design
Say hello to the 20th Anniversary Deluxe Edition of Veneer! I remember being thrilled by the album when I first heard it back in 2003, so I’m glad to have involved in working with this reissue.
This Anniversary Deluxe Edition of “Veneer” is packaged in a gatefold sleeve and includes a 10-inch 24 page booklet with the history of Veneer in José’s own words, three essays and José’s track-by-track thoughts.
The Anniversary Deluxe Edition also includes a bonus record with an intimate live recording from a Gothenburg performance two decades ago. The European versions (Peace Frog & City Slang) comes in blue colored vinyl and the US version (Mute) comes in clear vinyl. Both editions are hand numbered.
Artwork by Elias Araya. This reissue art direction and graphic design was made in tribute to the original sleeve design by Elias Araya.
The assignment included art direction, album packaging design, product renderings and markering material.
