Local Valley
Album packaging design for “Local Valley”, the fourth album by Swedish indie folk singer-songwriter José González.
The album packaging formats includes an LP in a gatefold sleeve, a CD-edition in a digipak sleeve for Mute in North America, and a CD-edition in a digisleeve for City Slang in Europe.
Hannele Fernström made all the fabulous illustrations. José and Hannele had the basic idea for the album design and handed me some rough drafts and tons of illustrations to work with.
The assignment included album packaging design, design for digital singles, design for posters and merchandise, design supervision, advertising guidelines and ad design.
